The Oakville Drama Series (ODS) was established in 1979. The ODS is a set of 5 plays presented from October to March every year. The plays are produced by The Oakville Players and West End Studio Theatre

Two local community theatre groups working together to produce a homegrown subscription season full of comedy, farce, drama, thriller, mystery and musical.

The Oakville Players

The Oakville Players Established 1962

The Oakville Players is a community theatre group based in the Oakville Ontario area. Our Group produces two main stage productions at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts and a One Act Night studio production each year. We are a volunteer organization of people with an interest in theatre, both onstage and off. Each of our productions has positions available for everything from actors and directors to set construction and painting. No experience? No problem! If you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach.

Our productions are often referred to as some of the most professional that our audiences have ever seen. So be sure to come out and see one of our fantastic shows!


West End Studio Theatre

West End Studio Theatre Established 1997

W.E.S.T. is an an award winning acting and studio that encourages people of all ages to enjoy the experience of theatre, and film. Our mission is to produce exceptional theatre in the community while educating and inspiring creativity through a variety of classes and workshops.

W.E.S.T. provides class instructions for students ages 3 to adult. Stage classes consist of theatre games and learning theatre language. Television and film classes focus on audition, cold reading and scene study fundamentals.

In “The 39 Steps”, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called “The 39 Steps” is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale!

When blind date newbie Aaron is set up with serial-dater Casey, a casual drink at a busy New York restaurant turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner. As the date unfolds in real time, the couple quickly finds that they are not alone on this unpredictable evening. In a delightful and unexpected twist, Casey and Aaron’s inner critics take on a life of their own when other restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents, who sing and dance them through ice-breakers, appetizers and potential conversational land mines. The Ladies Foursome

“The Ladies Foursome” is a female version of “The Foursome”, but with a completely different story. It’s the day after the funeral of a friend, and three women gather for a round of golf in honour of their recently deceased playing partner. They are joined by a fourth woman, another old friend of the deceased that the other three didn’t know about. During the round the women discuss life, love, men, sex, children, careers…everything but golf. Many surprises, secrets and confessions come to the surface during this hilarious and heart-warming round of golf.

The Trip To Bountiful

Horton Foote’s moving play tells the story of Carrie Watts, an elderly woman, who longs to escape the cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her protective son, Ludie, and her authoritarian daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae. Carrie wants to return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful, Texas, one final time before she dies, so she escapes to the bus station and befriends a young woman named Thelma. The new friends travel toward Bountiful together, but when Carrie arrives in nearby Harrison, Texas, she begins to learn that her beloved town isn’t the same as she remembered it.
